NZ Wind Farms - Te Rere Hau Extension
(2007-2009)
Kessels & Associates prepared a detailed ecological effects
assessmnet report for the consent of the Te Rere Hau Extension Wind
Farm along the Tararua Ranges near Palmerston North, on
behalf of NZ Wind Farms Ltd. The assessment involved
in detailed mapping of vegetation and significant indigenous fauna
habitat. Aquatic macroinvertebrate, fish surveys and bird counts
were carried out to assess potential impacts to local fauna.
We also developed mitigation and monitoring protocols.
