Environmental Lot Protection Inspections

Environmental Lot Protection Inspections

Kessels and Associates have prepared hundreds of assessment reports for potential subdivisions and conservation lot covenants on private land.  We have experience assessing vegetation in the Auckland, Franklin, Thames-Coromandel, Waikato and Waipa Districts.  Assessment begins with a site inspection and detailed survey of indigenous flora and fauna, significance assessments according to District Plan and Regional Plan criteria, as well as potential impact assessment and mitigation measures.  These reports are often followed by the preparation of restoration and management plans, which detail site specific restoration measures, including plant and animal pest control, restoration plantings (incl. suitable plant selection) and numbers of plants, fencing and costing.  Areas we specialize in include bush remnants, freshwater wetlands and riparian margins.
